Today I went on a hike up Bell's Canyon. Call me lame, but it was awesome to hike by myself. I needed the time alone, which I think I've been craving for a while now. Just me, myself, and Imagine Dragons to jam to on the long stretches.
It was beautiful, beautiful weather. Just the spring day I've been wanting lately. Plus, it was only a 15 min drive from my house to the base of the hike. What? Yep. I had no idea where I was going, so I ended up getting lost multiple times, probably hiking about 6 miles total. Totally worth it though. Sometimes it feels good to get lost on purpose.

I loved the orange stuff on this tree. |
 |
You could see the whole city practically! |
 |
This was the destination of the hike, a natural waterfall in the canyon |

This barely does it justice. it was mossy and lush up there, not super typical of Utah. |
 |
Obviously I was not prepared for the butt-sliding on the snow that occurred on the way down! |

So appropriate |

I loved the way the mountains reflected in the water. |
Awesome pics! I love the one of your thighs.

Wow, love the pictures, Lindsey! I feel calmer just reading about your solo hike. It sounds really nice, rejuvenating, and soul-strengthening. And that bottom picture if totally postcard/frame worthy. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love Cath's comment. Haha! BTW: whatever happened between you and rufus?
ReplyDeleteamazing photography! Did you see Lone Peak from your hike? You are so lucky to live so close to beautiful wilderness! Sounds like a rejuvenating hike!
