Inspired by my comedian friend, J Peets, I have comprised a list of the greatest #hashtags of #2015.
1. #bit
-used to denote a sense of bitterness; can be used verbally in conversation by saying "pound bit" to denote one's own sense of bitterness or to remind someone else of their bitterness.
ie:
Person A: "I swear that girl is 18, how on earth is she getting married?"
Person B: "Pound bit."
Person A: "Ugh..."
2. #yopro
-the opposite of #yolo (hashtag of 2014- "you only live once"); short for "young professional" and can be used in contexts where subject has done something particularly professional or developed habits of a young professional.
-created by the elder K Peets
ie:
Person A: "Hey ______, you wanna go out and party all night?"
Person B: "No, I go to bed at 9 because I work early tomorrow morning. #yopro"
3. #adultvictory
-used in a similar context as #yopro, this hashtag is used to praise oneself for accomplishing a more specific task that is challenging or difficult.
ie:
Person A: "I folded my laundry. #adultvictory"
4. #zealnzest
-used to attribute more youthful attributes to oneself as one realizes their own aging appearance and degrading physical state.
ie:
Person A: "I am turning 29 this year but I just climbed a mountain. #zealnzest"
5. #unhinged
-used particularly in the context of aging single adults who have become more and more "open" when it comes to dating and their standards; historically was used to denote that one leaves the door so open, it has been unhinged.
ie:
Person A: "Oh man, well I'm turning 29 this year and even though this guy has ____, _____, ____ wrong with him, I figure I might as well go on a 15th date with him... #unhinged"
Hahahaha, I particularly love the last one... #sotrue
ReplyDeleteI want to earn stickers for my #adultvictory. Because otherwise it's kinda lame
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. By far one of your best posts ever. I would say that you could accurately use these hashtags to describe yourself except for #1.
ReplyDeleteI just commented on your blog and used my first hashtag. #geezervictory
ReplyDeleteDude I'm SO glad you explained these hashtags! Like, I see the peeps be usin 'um but I no understand what they mean-o. Yo. Could you please publish an urban dictionary? Starting with a definition of the word "bae," as in "I can't hang out witchu, I'm wit my bae." I get the gist, but the etymology is confusing.
ReplyDeleteGary, I'm impressed!
