I know you're all dying to know. In case we aren't insta(gram)friends, and you don't get my daily updates, here is a run-down on what I have spent my days doing the past month or two.
Said goodbye to these dear angels (tear)
And these angels (tear tear)
Ran a Sprint triathlon
Felt *great*
Celebrated my 28th birthday by connecting with my inner-deer
and taking (feet) selfies in front of Old (not so) Faithful
and making some new friends
soaking in the breathtaking beauty
And backpacking at sunset
Through some wild country
I said goodbye to the trouse (tear) (slash no tears)
And moved here.
And since then, I've been enjoying a nice book at the pool...
visiting some lovely people in Moab...
Eating out like 10 times in one week (only had to pay for 2x, score)(and YUM)
Going on runs that make me feel temporarily like this (don't run on an empty stomach at 1 pm in the hot sun)
But have been enjoying the utter beauty of Utah nonetheless.
I've been visiting lots of old friends
And making some new friends.
Who take me biking in beautiful places
And then feed me the most delicious bacon I've ever tasted.
Yep, I think I'm ready to go to Beijing tomorrow.
Yesterday I was all sorts of nervous, and flustered, and insecure, and scared. I stayed up late with my mind racing with all sorts of doubts and fears. And today I woke up feeling totally calm and ready for this next adventure.
Sure, they have quoted the workload to be about "4-5 hours of homework a day" (not if I have anything to do with it), but I am sure I will find some time to drink in the Beijing pollution & see the sights of a new country. MAN! I am so excited for a new and different kind of challenge.
Until then, sayonara. I'll be back in August.
