One of the perks of living at the Hatch home at age 25--
This is what greets you after you come home from work:
Did I mention that lately I have become obsessed with food blogs? I have read every post from
ourbestbites.com back until last summer.
I don't think of myself as much of a chef...and the majority of time I'm too lazy to cook anything spectacular. Maybe it's because I don't have much time now. Or maybe it's because I don't have much money. Or maybe it's because I don't have anyone to cook for? The other day I even expressed a concern to my parents that I am worried I will have a hard time transitioning to cooking for my family when I get married. I was shocked when my mother responded that she didn't like cooking, and never has. (!!!!!!) She has been cooking for our family my entire life, and I have never heard her complain!
Oh my goodness!
My dad then piped in with, "And I don't like going to work every day!" (!!!!!!!) Crisis. And I thought I knew my parents.
They both continued to say that they do it because it's necessary, and when they don't feel like doing it, they think of the other person (dad/mom) and just do it anyway. That's life, guys.
But maybe ourbestbites.com will change that for me...afterall, I've already memorized how to make fortune cookies (don't groan, it's not because I like Asia), spicy chick peas, breakfast potatoes, pie in a jar, and creamy broccoli bacon pasta...
