About Me

Being sweet has it's downfalls.

I forgot to mention that in Wyoming I got this ridiculous and epic mosquito bite in the middle of my forehead (which turned out to be the combination of at least 2 mosquito bites). This would happen to me.Pardon the expression, but how would you feel if you woke up with that on your forehead?

XOXO

Tribute to A.Marie

Last week I traveled to Wyoming to visit my sister Angela! We did lots of fun things that are articulated beautifully on Angela's blog .
Some things I love about Angie-pie are:
1. She is always serving other people (very selfless) and lets me borrow her clothes every time I visit (and eat her food)
2. She is a peacemaker - never one to stir the pot, but always a calming influence to those around her
3. She is super hard-core. Evidence: with a 25-lb baby on her back she can still beat me (easy) hiking up huge mountains
4. She is so fun to be around (biking, hiking, talking, laughing, kissing dead animals, banana splits, swimming)
5. She makes her own bread (and has lots of other wife skills)
6. She is a good example to me of being a good mom and wife
7. She is fearless - not scared of anything...even monstrous spiders or bugs or bears
8. She is not critical of other people but is always kind and uplifting
9. She has a beautiful smile!
10. She is very intelligent and oozes creativity in the way she lives her life and solves problems

Oh and she and Brian make cute offspring! Shout-out to this cute girl (who I already miss!)

Ode to Cycling

I. Love. Biking.
(Look how happy I am! Ok so I'm a little tired...)

What's not to love though?
The fresh air in my face, the rhythmic cadence of my legs moving, the rolling hills, the uphill struggle, the complete exhilaration of the downhill, the liberty to go where cars can't, the nostalgia for my mission that occurs every time I start riding...I love it. On the mission, I started to feel more comfortable on a bike than off of one. Sometimes I still feel like that.

Yesterday some friends in my ward invited me to go biking up Vivian park. I recently acquired a beauty of a road bike (borrowing to for this week before my triathlon on Saturday). The ride was beautiful.

The biker gang: Joe, Me, Walter, Phil (Our Bishop came, too! He's an intense road biker).

Um, Can I just say that I love the Book of Mormon? Nephi is a stud.

"And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; wherefore, he did provide means for us while we did sojourn in the wilderness"

Our Nation's Birthday

How best to celebrate our nation's birthday:

1. Watch the fireworks (Robert, Ronnie, me, Eliza)

2. Go invade a small-town community party (where everyone knows everyone so no one knows you and they know it) in Idaho (from top left Barney, Marshall, Ben, Me, Eliza, Kasia, Ethan, Luke, Chad, Lydia)
3. Play on the huge water slides (notice the white thing in the background) (pictured: Eliza)

4. Run out of gas at a gas station with no gas in "The Middle of Nowhere", Idaho5. Play with the random alpacas they happen to have at said random gas station

6. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets that only exist in small-town, Idaho

Happy Birthday, America!
