Defender of Ducks

The other day at work I got really bored so I started reading The Daily Universe (the campus newspaper). I noticed that all of the letters to the editors were either about 1. the honor code (complaining about it or defending it) 2. eating meat (against it or for it, complete with doctrinal evidence) or 3. bashing bikers and how they don't know whether they are vehicles or pedestrians.

So...I decided to write an article. Afterall, this is #57 on my list of things to do before I leave this beautiful town.

So I wrote one. It was mostly a satire, meant to be a mockery of all the other articles. Today it got published. And I've had all these "friends" coming out of no where praising its hilarium. Take a look for yourself:

I'm so glad I have a Mac!

I think this says it all.

This past week I graduated. Yes, graduated. I am done with my undergraduate degree (except for one more class Spring term). How do I feel, you ask? Well, for the first time in 25 years I don't know what I'm doing in the immediate future. Scary thought. So, if you call me on the phone, please do me a favor and don't ask me, "What now!?" because I have no idea.
Ok that's a lie. I do have a slight idea. I am planning on working in Provo until August (we'll see if I last that long at the Chem Business Office) and then hopefully by then I will have found another job (I've got to get one if I apply to 2,000,00000 online right?) in who-knows-where. I plan on going to nursing school in a year (next summer) after I earn some money. My current interest would be to be a labor and delivery nurse. Watching a couple of hours of birthing videos with Bry/Ang pre-Leisel sparked my interest in the field. This may change - but I really think that nursing is a good field to do with so many options. So I am still feeling good about it.

In the meantime, there are a few things that I have kept me pretty dang happy this past week. One of them being this cute little thang:
Another of them being this spunky woman:
This gangsta father:

And another being these awesome sisters that came for my graduation (notice the sweet hotel!):

I have felt really blessed this weekend and really loved and supported. It has been nice to feel it from "earthly sources" as well as from Heavenly Father continually. It never ceases to amaze me how patient and kind Heavenly Father is with me, and how He is always waiting for me to make time for Him in my schedule and room for Him in my heart.

Nothing like a trip to Moab.

Camon on top of the world!
Me, strong in Moab...I guess.
Rappelling the last part of the hike! Look, I'm smiling!

midlife crisis

Yesterday I had a midlife crisis. I realized that I am turning a whopping TWENTY-FIVE in 2 months. I went running yesterday and I felt so out of shape and started to realize that my body is NOT in it's top condition...and I haven't been eating well...AND I have all these random ailments like shin splints, and feet problems, and failing eyesight and grey hair and I'm tired. Shouldn't I be at my PRIME!?

I kind of feel like this broham-----

Now only to buy some tassles...

HAIR

Sometimes when I read everyone else's blog I feel selfish. Sometimes that's why I don't update. But I figure, since I have not updated in the past 1.5 months its about time for one, even if it is about something so frivolous as my hair.
